We've gotten 5 straight days of bright sunshine here in SW Michigan/z5!!! I am getting so crazy for spring - the snow is melting - rain on Sunday - can it be? Spring is getting close!!!!:):):)

My Paper Whites I received at a wedding

I wish spring was early, still only around 25 degrees, but the sun is shinning. I hope it warms things up soon. I have a lot of work I lie to get done. The only flowers I see are the ones we grew inside. We have paper white blooming inside, some that were given to us at our friends wedding. Two small pots with bulbs. Add water, put in a bright window and watch them grow.

Fragrant Lilies for Your Flower Garden
Add some flare to your garden with taller and fragrant lilies!

I'm not talking about daylilies although I do love them. Oriental, Orienpets, Asiatic, and Trumpet Lilies are strong, tall, and fragrant (genus Lilium). A variety of colors, height, and fragrance will add that special flare to your garden.

Thank you Dawn Marie Thompson, I appreciate your suggestions to my "hot, long wall" and I'm looking up the plants as we speak!

To reply to Lisa about her "hot, long wall..." You might consider painting it a neutral color to avoid light reflection, to begin with:) Some variegated yucca would be able to withstand winter temperatures and add interest texturally:) Some sedums turn lovely colors in the fall - and take a LOT of abuse!

It's February and the pink cherry blossoms, primroses and daffodils are everywhere...spring came early I think.
