I love sage! I have a verigated plant that is tasty for cooking
(potatoes and chicken) but it is also nice looking in my garden. I like pineapple sage too, I let it blossom just to see its red flowers. I don't plant my herbs in pot; I probably should, they share a spot with my blueberries. Have you tried celantro? It is so yummy in salsa.

Hello, I'm new to this group and am looking forward to learning new things. I have quite a few herbs because I can't cook without them. They also seem to repel insects. Well some of them anyway. I love basil, thyme, oregano, chives, lavender, yes I cook with this one also. Mint if in control in pots. This plant seems to deter mice and other rodents. I will try just about any herb I can get my hands on.

I grow borage every year, or rather it grows itself! I planted it once years ago and it has reseeded every year. I have moved the plants all over and they always do well. For me, this has been a very easy plant to grow. I really don't do anything with it but enjoy it!

I grew it at my previous home, the flowers are beautiful, but the plant overall a little homely. It has a great cucumber-y taste.

Borage has such pretty flowers, but I have never met anyone that has tried it. Has anyone grown or used this herb for anything?

That's so funny: I got up in the middle of the night Friday, and it was that bright outside when I looked out the window. Amazing!

Honestly Lee Ann if you got any of that snow I do see you needing a grow light. It's been so gloomy here in Charlotte this week that when the sun came out today, after an evening of snowfall, everything was bright enough for a Tide commercial :-)

Thank you Alexander; that sounds logical. Missed your blog but good luck with the window herb garden. Hope your windows get enough light, unlike mine. My Christmas wish for next year is a grow-light unit.

A friend and I are wanting to start an indoor window herb garden. We plan to blog at 1 PM today. We hope others with expertise would join us and help us out. Hope you can be there :)
